Making Compelling Food Videos Workshop

In today’s landscape, videos are the new photography. In fact, millennials consume more content via video than any other generation so far. That’s one of the reasons video is king. If your site doesn’t have video right now, you might want to consider getting on the bandwagon or risk getting left behind!

Are you ready to take your food blog to the next level by adding video? Then you are in luck!  No fancy equipment is needed as we are focusing on using the tool that is in our hands every day.  Our Smartphones.
This hands-on workshop will teach you how to shoot compelling food videos quickly, using your smartphones.
We have partnered with Stonyfield for our hands-on “how to shoot compelling (and delicious) food videos”.  The craze is definitely focused on quick and easy “Tasty” style videos, which we will focus on during this workshop.  We will spend our time together guiding you through the process, while you shoot alongside side us using delicious Stonyfield products.  The basics of shooting video will be covered making you more comfortable to take the techniques home, and start shooting video on your own.

This workshop will be focused on shooting video quickly and easily using the one tool that is never far from your side;  the smartphone.  Once you learn the basics teach, you can apply the same principles when shooting with another video devices.
Shooting techniques that will be discussed are:

Food Video Contest!

To keep the excitement going from what you have learned during this hands-on workshop and at ChoppedCon, there will be a fun and tasty food video contest for all participants in the video workshop.  Once you get home, make your own tasty food video using delicious Stonyfield products – the options are limitless from parfaits, to savory dishes all the way down to baked goods. Get creative and have fun.  You will have until midnight (PST) on October 3, 2016, to submit your delicious food video using Stonyfield yogurt.  There will be a grand prize filled with all sorts of delicious and fun prizes for one lucky video producer.

Our Instructors

Denise Woodward and Lenny Ferreira have the food site Chez Us us well they provide instruction on food videography and photography instruction site Learn to Shoot Food. They have been in the video and photography space for over 20 years, and have been instructing using a hands-on learning approach for the past 6 years.
